JIRA channel in Quickbase

We are trying to connect Quickbase to our JIRA cloud using the existing "channel" provided in Quickbase.  I have created a API token and the connection is still denied.  Any ideas on how to get passed this first connection step?  When I go look at the token in JIRA and we have tried to create the channel in quickbase the token shows as having been accessed.
