Hi,

I imported the Jira roadmap into confluence and I can see it fine. I would like other people to see it now.

My questions is what permissions do they need to see the roadmap on confluence? Does anyone can see it if i make it public URL for the confluence page? Do they have to have Jira access ?

Hello @ilan.tsabary ,

There are security measures in place to prevent unwanted exposure of data.

To view the  Advanced Roadmaps data in the gadget in Confluence the user that is accessing the Confluence page hosting the data needs to have permission in Jira to view that data.  So the account needs Confluence access, "Browse Project" Project level permission in Jira, as well as the "Advanced Roadmaps viewer" Permission within the Plan settings.  All people who access Jira need to be a member of the built-in group, Jira-users and Viewers will need to have Jira accounts, so you can give them permissions to see the appropriate Roadmap and in turn pass the validation from Jira to Confluence to see the data in the gadget on the confluence page

This will give the external user accounts access to Jira to view the data in the plan from the gadget in Confluence.  Do Note: internal as well as external users require a license for Jira to be able to grant the permissions to that user to see the roadmap data.

Thie following Blog post goes into a lot more detail with an example scenario on how to configure a system for sharing data with external stakeholders, that I would recommend checking out:

Regards,
Earl
