Jira says Project key already exist but i cannot see the created project

Hi, 

I'm trying to create a project but it says the key is already there. but I cannot see that project in the listing. please help.

Hi @Project Manager , Whenever you can't find projects in the listing, go to the trash and check whether the project has moved to it and if you need you can delete it permanently and then create a project so you won't get key already there.

You can find Trash in the settings icon on the navigation bar and projects and then trash.

Navigate to https://your-site.atlassian.net/browse/[project-key]-1 in the format below

https://your-site.atlassian.net/broswe/WSP-1 (And this will redirect to something with new project key)

So this means someone already changed the project key and was changed 

You cannot create the project with the same project key which was used earlier. It stays on!!

Use the different one, that's the resolution

Can you go to settings -> projects from the top right corner of the screen and check the existence?
