Kanban Backlog

Is there a way to hide the 1st column from showing in the Kanban Board but still see it in the Backlog group?  We want to be able to triage issues in a Column on the Kanban Backlog without seeing that Column on the Board.

Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?

With a Company Managed project Kanban board you activate the Backlog screen by mapping statuses to a Backlog group (on the Columns page). Columns for those statuses no longer are displayed on the Board View.

For a Team Managed Kanban board being "in the backlog" is not based on the status of the issue, like it is for Company Managed projects. For TM projects an issue can be in any status and be either "on the board" or "in the backlog", so you have to keep all statuses mapped to columns that display on the board.

The short answer is no, you can not hide the backlog column and still have access to the Backlog board. You could work around it by using two boards, one that have the backlog feature enabled and the second one that doesn't.
