Keep users from adding new issues to a project

Hi,

i wanted to see if there's a way to allow users to edit issues within a project, but not add new issues to it? I want users to be able to see and edit existing issues, but NOT be able to add new ones.

Thanks

Hello Philip,

You can set project permissions:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/managing-project-permissions-185729636.html

Note, you can set who can EDIT and who CAN CREATE new issues combining the project roles:

for example:

create: project role administrators

edit: project role users
