Link an issue to the link of an issue

Hello dear community,

I would like to implement an automation, but unfortunately I cannot find a solution.

The situation:

When Issue A/Project A is closed, Issue B is automatically created in Project B and linked to Issue A.

So far so good.

Now when a certain status is reached in issue B, I want to automatically create issue C in project C.

However, I would like to link this process to both Issue B and Issue A.

I am looking for a solution for linking Issue C to Issue A.

We use Jira Cloud without any additional add-ins.

Hi!

Very interesting one :-). Think this should do the trick:

• Rule triggers when issue B transitions
• Creates an issue
• Branches down into the linked issues (link type can be provided)
• Links the last created issue to the linked issue of B
