Hi all,
I've been reading this article
Link to server products from cloud | Atlassian Cloud | Atlassian Documentation
And looking to implement in our environment.
There are some issues that aren't really defined in the article and I was hoping for more information.
Our environment uses an internal domain corp.local so to get an SSL connection from a CA I will need to change the DNS (and probably the JIRA base URL) or use a reverse proxy.
The reverse proxy has some advantages of not changing the internals for Jira(base URL) and our custom links in and out will continue to work without modifications.
So my questions are
Can a reverse proxy work for Jira cloud sync - or does it need to be a direct connection?
Can I keep the Jira on corp.local dns and leave the base URL and use a cname in our public DNS with the CA cert or will this break the sync because it looks to marry the DNS name on the public CERT to the base URL in Jira config ?
This one would mean I need to use a public IP address and routing etc, but we can do that.
Is there another option ?
