Linking an issue: make drop-down menu selection more efficient

I wish Atlassian developers would use Jira and get an idea of the friction factors that could be fixed for wonderful quality of life improvements. Several improvements have been made over a period measured in years, so if some long-term things could finally get done, it would be great! Thank you in advance.

One example I run into a lot, when linking an issue the menu comes up with "is automated by" ALWAYS the default choice. At a minimum, make the default the last used choice. The inefficiency of this one action is a high-grief factor. I actually feel carpal tunnel effects from this.

There are other similar experiences in Jira that could be QOL impacts.

Please?

Hi @Larry Allen

Are you by any chance using any add-on?

I don't have the "is automated by" option in my Issue link options menu

Hmmm... could be. I just used that as what is at the top of my menu. Otherwise, what matters is the need to scroll every single time to get to "related to" or "implemented by" which are two more options that I have and actually use commonly.
