Looking for some recommendations if anyone uses add-on apps to help with administration. I'm a new admin - the only one in our company. We have never had a dedicated admin before so needless to say there is a lot of cleanup needed.
Thanks
What problems are you having that is driving you to search for an app. If it is house cleaning then I'm not sure there is an app for that. Likely the best approach is admin training, the Community, or maybe consider an Atlassian partner. If you have some specific issue you would like to tackle please post here.
@Gail Not sure if you have Cloud or DC, but here are resources.
As Carlos already noted, Atlassian University has the Jira Administrator Learning Path which includes a number of paid and free courses. The Certification has an associated Cert Prep course which is great for brushing up on admin skills and learning best practices.
For cleanup, check out these resources:
There are a number of great Marketplace admin tools some of which help with cleanup.
Additionally, many new and experienced JIRA Administrators find a couple of textbooks handy, including the JIRA Strategy Admin Workbook by Rachel Wright and the Jira Administration Cookbook by Patrick Li.
I hope this helps.

Join the Jira Cloud Admins group. There is a great post (with lots of participation) on How to keep track of the sprawl?
@Lorenzo Phillips provided a recommendation for Instance Auditor (Jira) in his comment on the question.

Hi @Gail , I'd also recommend admin training (https://university.atlassian.com/student/collection/850385/path/1062304), and to pursue the Jira Administrator certification (https://university.atlassian.com/student/collection/850385/path/1062304/activity/1031135). During my preparation for the certification I learned a lot about concepts that I've applied for years after that, and you'll gain knowledge on best practices and standard procedures.
Reading some books helped me complement my knowledge. E.g., this one from Matt Doar was very helpful (https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/practical-jira-administration/9781449309701/. (I know that Jira has evolved since the book was written, but I still find the concepts taught here helpful).
