Making a screen more dynamic

I am hoping to be able to make some of my screens look better, similar to how we can create a form.  For example, if the answer to a specific field is X, I want to show fields A, B, and C but if the answer to that same field is Y, I want to show fields D and E.  Is there any way to do that on a screen?  Or even using the layout option where we can show fields side by side on the screen similar to how we can do that in a form?

Not out of the box. I would look in the marketplace to see if there is a plug-in that would do it, but I doubt it.
