Hello,
We are migrating from Asana to Jira. When we migrate the CSV to a Kanban Project in Jira, all the tasks are going into Backlog of Kanban Board. How do we handle this so the respective tasks get correctly mapped to Done, InProgress, etc based on their status in Asana Board ?
Regards
Shankar.S
If the status from Asana is in your csv file, you should be able to specify a mapping from your asana status to the desired status in Jira during the process.
I suppose you followed the csv import documentation, but if not: do check the sections about field mappings and tips for importing csv data into Jira fields.
Hi @Shankar Subramaniam - Make sure the values for the Asana status in your CSV match the statuses that you have in Jira. You might need to do a mass update in Excel to change the values, but you can't map In Progress to In Process for example. In other words you can't make the individual values just the fields themselves. So the values in the fields need to line up.

Hi @John Funk,
I think you can (unless) the feature is restricted on free plans:
Selecting the option Map field in the wizard adds an additional step to decide on the status mapping:
But you are of course right: if the statuses match, it saves the effort and the chance of error in the mapping stage!
