Migration of one project caused changes in other projects

anvita.kesharwani October 5, 2020

Hi Team,

We migrated one jira project, in cloud jira and it changed the Epic issue type to someother feature issue type for all those projects which had epic as issue type. IS this possible that migration caused this issue. Is there any way we can revert this.

Can you please explain what you mean by migrated?

Hi Megan,

By Migration I mean , we are migrating our jira instance from server to cloud.

Hi Anvita,

We started on cloud so I haven't done a migration before.  However even in just doing a number of normal admin type of work on our instance, you often have to map issue types to issue types and by default, the software will choose the same issue type.  What issue type did it get mapped to in the cloud?

Thanks,

Megan
