Next-gen Project: How to move a Story to be a Child of an Epic

Wai Jon Soe June 8, 2022

It seems that when I create a Child Story from an Epic, the Children are properly added and they show up in the "Roadmap" tab, however if I created a Story, then click "Link Issue", add "child of" relationship to the Epic, the Children does not show up in the Roadmap.

When I click into the Epic, I found that the added child Story is under "Linked issues" instead of "Child issues".

So just wanted to see if anybody knows how to properly link a Child issue to a Parent issue?

Hi @Wai Jon Soe ,

Welcome to the community.

For the next gen project, you can link it using Add parent option as shown below and you change parent also using change parent.

Thanks @Sreenivasaraju P , that worked!

I think they should unify this linkage, instead of being implemented as a separate attribute, this is just confusing
