Parallel sprints are set up, but one sprint "complete" is grayed out

Hello - I'm running parallel sprints for my project, with 2 different end dates - 7/10, 7/21. On the 7/10 board, I no longer have the option to "complete" my sprint 5, it is grayed out. This is my main board with many issues. The other board (email 7/1) still has that option. Parallel sprints was enabled when this was set up initially.

Does anyone have any insight? I will be needing to close my sprint 5 this week and would like these remaining tasks to automatically flow down to what would be sprint 6, while leaving my email board alone. Help!

When the Complete Sprint option is disabled that means there is an issue in that sprint that is part of a project where you do not have the Manage Sprints permission.

JIRA does not prevent stories from other agile boards/projects from being added to a sprint. You may not see that extraneous issue in your sprint when looking at your board because of the filter on your board.

Try executing an Issue Search to search for all the issues that are assigned to that sprint. You should then see the problematic issue.

This problem comes up most often when different teams with different boards create sprints using the same name; i.e. a generic "Sprint 5". JIRA does not prevent the creation of multiple sprints with identical names. Behind the scenes each sprint has a unique numeric identifier, but when users are assigning issues to sprints by modifying the Sprint field, they may select the "wrong" sprint when multiple sprints have the same name.
