Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Hi Community,
I do have a question.
When launching Jira and selecting " Projects" we can see all of our projects. Once I click on one of them, the default always is that the Kanban board shows up.
Can this default be changed? We would like to see the Roadmap as the first view when clicking on a project. Ideally this could be defined per user?
Is there any such setting? I was not able to find it.
Thanks in advance,
Emanuel
Unfortunately this is not possible on Jira cloud, and the boards will always be the default landing page for a software project
Well that is unfortunate... I agree with the OP, it makes sense from a Product Management perspective to have the Roadmap be the default page. Even within the board's sidebar menu the "Roadmap" is the first option which indicates to me that even the Atlassian developers saw the value in having that view prioritized.

In addition, Boards only shows one workflow, so if the project uses more than one workflow, you don't see all the open issues when you land on the Boards page
