Hi
I see a few Questions like this, but no answers that really help me.
Our Project Managers currently have a standard project where the steps involved are always roughly the same. So they have a MS Project file which they copy, rename, change the start date, tweak slightly and they are done.
Is there a way to replicate this ease with a Jira project/Roadmap?
Kind of. What I normally do, I keep with me a csv of all the issues with relevant fields. I import this csv field get the set of issues that I need for my next project.
Check this page for more details. You can generate this file by exporting the issues with the fields (columns) you need. To quickly import the csv file you can also create a configuration file with all the field mappings, date format and status mappings. The link I shared has all the details.
I know it is not simple copy paste but once you get used to this approach you will be able to create issue quickly.
I hope it helped.
Ravi
