Question about Jira...When creating a task, why do I not get an email notification when it is create

When I create a task, I do not get a notification in my email when it is created (and I am reporter/watcher). I receive notifications when others respond in the task (when I am reporter/watcher etc.). How do I start to get email notifications when a task is CREATED?

Hello @Brooke Collins 

There are two things that affect that.

The first is the Notification configuration for the project. In that configuration is defined who should receive notifications for issue events like Issue Created, Issue Updated, and so on.

The second thing that can affect this is your Personal Settings for notifications. You can find the Personal settings option by clicking on your avatar in the upper right corner.

If you have unchecked the last box in the list then you won't receive notification about the issue being created when you are the one that creates it.
