Adding multiple values at once using Add New Custom Field Option

I have added new custom field with multi select option
I now need to add around 200 values into that field. I couldnot do that at once. I am adding it one by one using Add value option.

Is there any way that i can bulk upload all of those 200 + values in that customfield for selection. Please help me with steps if we can do that. Thanks

Hello @Meenakshi G ,

I think the best way is to use REST API or import values via CSV via using Jira "External System Import" feature. Map the custom field to the column in the CSV file that contains the values then proceed to import OR you can use ScriptRunner plugin

Hi,

I tried External system Import feature, what ever i provide there in the csv file, its creating as a new ticket/issue. 
But i exactly wants is, i need to add 200+ values for a field called Applicant id with multi select option (Please note its a custom field i created) using field configurations and mapped to a project. 

Anyone pls help to try this option out. Thanks

You can do it by:

Create test project 

Create an excel sheet and add all your values in the excel and put the first columns Summary and the second one the value of the the custom field.

Go to system -->external system import and add ur excel the name of the project and the field
