Hi folks - does anyone know of a repository for automation examples or templates? I know there are a few in the automation documentation, but I was hoping to find a community-driven source for more ideas.
Try this: https://docs.automationforjira.com/rule-playground/
This is a demo area where you can safely click around and get a feel for how Automation for Jira works. It won't affect yours or anyone else's Jira instance.
The rules below are some of the most commonly used by our customers. Feel free to adapt and edit them to your own need
@John McKiernan1 Is doing some research to build this out for customers. Ping him if you have asks.

Hey Dave,
This is a good article to help.

there is no "one" source. Actually, i'm in the process of trying to write an article on automation and plan to add some basic examples and was going to leverage it to implore others to add their favorites, but just can't find the time of late. Now, there are sample rules in the app by default. Assume you have seen those and looking for something more/different? There are a few in the Community but no TOC to find them i'm afraid. :-(

Thanks! re: "Assume you have seen those and looking for something more/different?"
Yes, saw those. Really just looking for inspiration and stuff to steal.

Hey @dave_drexler ,
As Sean mentioned, we are building out the Rule Playground to the point where there will be more use case inspiration that you can shake a stick at.
In the meantime, another good source is the blog: https://blog.codebarrel.io/use-cases/home
I'll let you know once we have more news.
@Jack Brickey - looking forward to reading that article whenever you get time. I could even upload the rules you create into the current rule playground so it is interactive for others. Feel free to give me a shout if you need any help: jmckiernan@atlassian.com
