Cannot include an available field into a project

I'm trying to add an available field into our project, but it fails and I'm getting an error message saying

"you can't see this field in the issue view as the context is not applied to this project. Go to context to choose applicable context"

Context is a clickable field and it take me to a place showing me the pic below - and that's a dead end - a place probaby not in use anymore as I cannot get anywhere further. Clicking 'support request' takes me no reasonable where. Try again just brings me back to the same place.

So how do I chose an 'applicable context' so that I may add the field?

Hi,

Is this a custom field with a context to selected projects or issue types?

You can see that by find the field and viewing the context:

Go to: yourdomain.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewCustomFields.jspa

View context by clicking on the three dots next to the custom field and select "Context and default value"

Does not work. That link takes me to the same dead end as above.

I don't know what a 'context to selected projects or issue types' means, I've never come across the term 'context' earlier.

That’s strange. Did you ever manage to figure this out?

I needed admin permission to the company, not just the project, in order to be able to see field contexts and resolve this.
