While there is no clean solution for this, if you can specify the query for your board, you can use a field or a label to clear them.
... AND "new custom field" != "cleared"
You cannot directly modify the filter used by the board that is created automatically for a Work Management project, which is what the Task Tracking project template creates.

Can I create a new board called done and delete the old one and then modify this? Or what else can I do because this is a necessity for me. Do I need to create a different type of project? Won't all my current tasks go away?

This isn't ideal, but you could also add a quick filter - "resolved < endOfDay(-2)"
If you create a different type of project, you should be able to move your existing issues to the new project.

Hello @Vedavyas Jampanaboyana
Welcome to the community.
Jira Work Management projects do not allow you to proactively clear issues from the Done column. They will be automatically hidden when they have been completed for 2 or more weeks.

I'm replying to your question on the other thread/response.
You can't delete the just the board associated with a Work Management project.
If you have the Jira Software product as part of your free instance, you can create a new board, but you can't make it show up in the navigation pane when you are viewing the Work Management project.
If you want to have more configuration options and the ability to have multiple boards linked to your project you would need to create a Software type project. However, because that is a different type of project you won't have the same default functionality you get with a Work Management project. You won't have the List View, the Timeline view, and the available reports will be different.

In that case, is there a way to take everything from a work management project and edit the project so it is a software type project?

You cannot change the type of a project. You can move issues from one project to another. Refer to
