We recently upgraded from 4.1 to 4.4. We have a series of custom fields on issues that are Free Text. If a user updates one of these fields and enters a lot of text, that text does not wrap in the notification email. The weird thing is that it does wrap if you only update the comment. Is there a preferred way to address this problem?
This seems like an issue still in JIRA 6.x - did anyone provide a workaround to fix this?
It also doesn't wrap in the JIRA issues macro display which makes the field useless.
I'm attaching two screen shots. One where just a comment was added to the issue and the wrap is working as expected. The second is where I updated a custom field as well as the comment. The wrap is not working as expected. I've dug into the email templates and it doesn't look like the HTML tags are being closed properly. I'm surprised that other organizations are not having this same issue.

Rick try uploading the image to a site like http://minus.com/ and then just paste the resulting link into the comment box.

Hi Rick,
Could you include a screenshot showing what happens?
Cheers,
