I have added a couple of new custom fields and applied them to the correct screen scheme for my jira board, but they are not appearing on tickets. Am i missing a final step?

Commenting very late but just adding to the discussion in case someone else is looking for this issue and comes across this ticket on jira like i did!
Here are the 4 things to check if a field isnt showing up in an issue:

It seems that it was set up correctly, however it was just not visible. I had to select 'configure fields' from 'create issue' and then 'select all' for all fields to show when creating a ticket.

You also need to ensure that the new custom fields are part of the Field Configuration Scheme assigned to the project (if you're working with a Company Managed project).

Hi @marie.mitchell what is the type of the project? Can you share some screenshots? In company managed projects, you need to configure Screen Scheme to Issue type Screen Scheme to Project. Did you configure all these parts?
