Not sure if and how it's possible to filter / find this data, hence asking you all :)
I've got a hunch that stories coded by a developer X, take on average longer before somebody picks them up from 'peer review' column (when comparing with stories coded by other devs).
I'd like to verify it by data and see the average time it takes for a story between it has status 'peer review' & it's picked up (assigned) by anybody. Afterwards, I'd like to see the data per field 'developer' (as in the previous column, each dev would have indicated themselves in the field 'developer').
Question: where and how I can search for this data? Thanks in advance!
Consider add-on Time in Status for Jira Cloud developed by my team. It can meet your request.
You can use the Average Time report to see the average time in all statuses for the selected assignee, project, or issue.
Try online demo to better understand.
Hope it helps.

Thanks everybody! As it was just once-a-time request, I won't be purchasing additional apps for it.
Together with a colleague, we tried to get the info via Actionable Agile, but unfortunately it had some bugs and the exported CSV file didn't have all the info.
I've meanwhile just addressed the topic as an observation in the retro, without any numbers.

Hello @Anita Kalmane ,
Our team at OBSS built Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira app for this exact need and it is available for Jira Server, Cloud, and Data Center.
Time in Status allows you to see how much time each issue spent on each status or assigned to each assignee. You can also combine statuses into consolidated columns to see metrics like Wait Time, Ticket Age, Cycle Time, or Lead Time.
You can calculate averages and sums of those durations grouped by the issue fields you select.
The app calculates its reports using already existing Jira issue histories so when you install the app, you don't need to add anything to your issue workflows and you can get reports on your past issues as well.
Time in Status reports can be accessed through its own reporting page, dashboard gadgets, and issue view screen tabs. All these options can provide both calculated data tables and charts.
Using Time in Status you can:

As an alternative, you can also try out our app
Agile Tools : Epic Tree & Time in Status
The add-on provides the time spent in each status for the entire lifecycle of the issue. You can combine your statuses to define your Lead/Cycle times and also extract the transitions history of the issues. Along with various Issue stats reports, you get additional features like Epic Hierarchy, Links Hierarchy & Worklogs Report to track the project's progress. The main features of the app are as below

Hopefully a symptom like you describe is a short-term challenge, improved by coaching and team retrospective conversations. With that in mind...if you are using a company-managed project you can do this with out-of-the-box features using Jira's interpretation of a control chart:
Kind regards,

This doesn't really exist out of the box, though there are a lot of ways you could create this with some custom scripting or automation rules.
1) Track timestamps (create custom fields that hold them) when tickets enter a status - that can be done with automation, or through post-functions.
2) Mark when the ticket is assigned (also can be done through jira automation, but this info exists in the ticket too, just not easy to access) using another timestamp in a custom field
3) Set up another rule that does the math to calculate the difference between those timestamps.
Alternatively, lots of addons do this for you - Time in Status app is pretty much perfect for this, since you can measure between any statuses, or number of times something is transitioned, or how long between field values have changed...etc.
