Editable / non-editable field configuration according to Status

Good morning.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to configure a field from editable to non-editable, according to Item Status?

For example ..... when the item is in "Backlog", the "End Date" field allows editing (data entry), but when the item goes to "ToDO", the "End Date" field does not allow it anymore which changes the value.

If not a simple configuration like this .... but some systematic way that I could replicate this

Hi Fabio,

One way that I think can help you are these steps:

1. Create a screen. On that screen, add the field that you want to become editable.

2. Go to your Jira project > Project settings > Workflows.

3. Edit the workflow.

4. Go to the "Backlog" status. Create an issue action. More info here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/

5. For the button/transition name, I suggest using: "Edit End Date", so users can easily distinguish that action.

6. On the same screen, search for the screen that you created on step 1.

I have attached the screenshot that you should be seeing from steps 4-6.
