I've been trying for a couple of weeks to print out an Excel Sheet of Epics Features and Stories from Jira. It seems overly difficult to this and I don't know why.
We have Epics, with Features and Child Tasks and I just cannot get a report with all these in a spreadsheet output.
This seems pretty ridiculous to me having to spend hours/days trying to get this to happen. We are trying to deliver this to a client and this is preventing completion of the project.
We've tried Structure, Agile Story Map and other widgets, but yet to find one that let's us export the Epic -> Feature - Story structure.
Can anyone help - as it's now urgent!
Hi,
This is easily possible with our app: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212942/aio-reports-and-timesheets-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
There are multiple ways of creating this report with the app and one such sample configuration is attached below.
Please consider trying it out and feel free to reach out to us at support@aioreports.com in case of any questions.

We do not export to excel, but if you want help with script, we can help. It would be a custom script.

Which report are you trying to run, and what parameters are you using?

Also Alpesh, if you want to submit a support request to us with your screenshot/script info, we can more easily troubleshoot with you. Would that be ok?

I've tried to run the script - but it doesn't produce anything - it says Parameter missing.

VisualScript for Jira will do this. It can visualize the links in your issues and create the hierarchy you need in a Jira dashboard gadget.
Is your requirement to export into excel? Is your client not in Jira, which is why it needs to be exported? VisualScript can export into png, jpg, and svg for now.
Let me know if you have any questions. I am the Product Manager for VisualScript.
Best
Evan
