Error when importing worklogs that are fractions of hours via a CSV import

Harold Fortin March 11, 2021

Hi,

I'm an administrator and when i try to import these 2 lines, i get an error on the first line because this user is not an administrator and because the time is an half hour. But it works when the time is a full hour (3600 seconds). The second line is with my user id and it works with a half hour (1800 seconds) :

Key,Summary,Worklog
PSREP-9290,Summary of the issue,Worklog comment;2021-03-11;602ae62e4890ef0071e45390;1800

The error message for the first line is:

Unable to import worklog com.atlassian.jira.plugins.importer.external.beans.ExternalWorklog@129973ff: Worklog for issue with id 29310 did not pass validation due to errors Errors: {timeLogged=Durée saisie non valide.}

Error Messages: []

("durée saisie non valide" translates to "invalid time spent") and i don't know why this text is in french.

Hoping someone can help me!

I finally found the problem. When i sent the invite to the email address, the account has been automatically created with the French language (Français de France) and for some reason, it was only possible to import full hours.

I had the same problem. I changed the settings in Jira Settings » Issues » Time tracking to set Hour in the Default unit for time tracking. Then it works!

I will try this option.

Thanks!

I can confirm that user's "locale" setting was the issue in my case also. You just need to ensure that all the users have en_US locale set in their account settings. More abut that here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-75460

After some tests, i did find that the problem is only for one user. It works fine for all the other users. All the users have the same configuration.
