Hi Team,
I've configured for my EPic, Story, Tasks, and Sub-Tasks to have the same field and screens:
The fields for Story Points and Story Point estimate are also configured to show in the screens of all the issue types mentioned.
However, for Sub-tasks only the story point estimate appears and not the Story Points.
Can someone assist me on how to fix this? I need both to appear on the SUb-Task issue type.
Regards,
Karlo
Hi Karlo,
Is the Story Points field visible in the Edit screen?
If a field has no value, you will not see it on the issue detail page.
If you edit the issue and you can set a value for the Story Points, the field should become visible on the issue detail page as well.
As Niranjan stated, in Scrum, story points are indeed not expected at subtask level though. You can read more opinions on this here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-estimate-story-points-for-sub-tasks/qaq-p/49664
Kindly check the "Story Points" field context for your project. Field context should include "Sub-Task" issue type or should be configured for all issue types of your project. If it is included, check the field configuration of sub-task type. On a separate note story point estimation is expected at the story level and time estimates at the sub-task level.
