Good morning all!
In our company, devs are using gitlab on-premise. They want to integrate with jira.
I see a lot of videos about gitlab integration with jira, but it seems that noone refers to gitlab on-premise integration with jira cloud (or I am not aware of it)
Is it possible? is there any specific documentation that refers to it?
I was going to install gitlab for jira and start configuring everything but now I have this doubt. Can anybody help me on this?
Thanks in advance
Ro
Came across the following article, as we are looking to do the same. The official marketplace app support documentation for the app does not appear to have been updated, but the article does give some instructions, with some limitations.

I fear, there is still no solution for this. Even if I think it should be not a big deal, it is currently not possible to do it in an easy/straight forward way.

Hi @Rosana Casilli Perhaps you’ve found a solution to this issue by now since this was posted a while ago. But in case you haven’t and everyone in the comments is still looking for an answer, this could certainly be done using Stitch It, which is a fully-managed code-based integration hub for all your Atlassian integrations. We offer both GitLab on-premise and Jira Cloud as connectors so it should be fairly easy for you to set up an integration between both apps. You can create an account today and test our integration app under our free plan.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any questions while you’re navigating Stitch It.

Did anyone get solution for this situation?
I want to know what should do on the Gitlab server side. I guess Gitlab server should open some port for Jira cloud, right?
Thanks in advance,
Shingo.

Hi Rosana
I'm in the same situation. Were you able to achieve this Jira Cloud + Gitlab on premise integration?
