Has anyone ever dealt with disappearing custom field contexts?

Hello,

  Was wondering if anybody has experience with disappearing custom field contexts?  Recently we experienced our context disappearing and, as a result, we duct taped the situation by recreating the custom field context, bulk editing: attempting to restore our tickets and boards.

  8 hours later we logged back into Jira and noticed those same contexts clandestinely disappeared.

Could anybody shed some light on this?  Does anybody know how to troubleshoot this?  We tried looking at audit logs but we don't see anything out of the ordinary.

Hi Kiet,

just to make sure I understood it correctly. From your screenshot it looks like you are on field configuration page. Custom Field page is under Fields > Custom Fields.

Is this the page you are looking for or were the contexts really vanished some days back? If so - did you fix the problem?

I should have gotten back on this.  We ended up doing a restore and the issue was self inflicted.  It seems that the menu's can be deleted by clicking on an X at the top right without a warning.

We were able to restore and confirmed that was definitely the issue.  So this was not a case of disappearing field context but a case of UI mistake we were not aware of.
