We can see users of resigned people in JIRA. We have deleted and deactivated their users but still on click of their avatars, can see tasks assigend to them , but can't view specific tasks. Can anyone help me how to resolve it.
Hey Kajal, great question! It sounds like you’re on the right track by already deleting and deactivating the users in JIRA. It’s a bit of a head-scratcher when those avatars keep popping up, isn’t it? 😄 Let’s see if we can get this sorted out together!
First off, it’s awesome that you’ve already taken the initial steps. Now, let’s dive into a few more things you can try:
Reassigning Tasks: Make sure all tasks that were assigned to those who’ve left are now assigned to your current team members. A quick bulk update should do the trick!
Field Configuration: Sometimes, the assignee field might still list the former colleagues. A little tweak in the field configuration should help remove those names.
Workflow Updates: If those users were part of any specific workflow conditions or post-functions, updating these to current team members is a great move.
Dashboard and Filters Cleanup: Double-check if any shared dashboards or filters still reference the old mates. Updating or removing these references can often clear up lingering issues.
Permission Audit: A quick look through your permission schemes might be needed just to make sure everything’s shipshape and Bristol fashion!
If all else fails and those pesky avatars are still hanging around, reaching out to Atlassian Support is a solid bet. They’re usually super helpful and can offer more specific guidance.
Remember, JIRA can be a bit finicky, so don’t worry if it takes a bit of time to sort everything out. You’re doing great! 😊👍 Let me know how it goes, and if you need any more help, I’m here for you!
