Hi,
I wanted to add the Original Estimate in the new tab how can i achieve it.
When iam configuring the screens the original estimate is not even getting displayed in the screens.
suggest me on how can i add the original estimate.
@Sunilkumar k if this is still an issue, I found a way.
1. After configuring your screen scheme, navigate to the project settings > issues layout and add 'Original Estimate in the main aisle.
2. Proceed to save changes and next, select 'Copy Issue Layout', it will require that you select all the linked projects that should be affected. Do so and proceed to complete the process.
3. Return to screen schemes and 'Original estimate' will be displayed in the main tab. Drag and drag the field to your preferred tab.
Problem solved!
I challenge these people (Jimi Wikman, Jack Brickey) who say it's just dragging to put a gif here with the process. BECAUSE DOES NOT WORK IN A NEW TAB.

Hi,
something has changed in Jira, at some point I had the Original Estimate configured in a new Tab, but now it is not possible.
I even have it available in the fields to add to the layout but when I try to add it, it only allows me to add it to the main tab and not to the new ones.
Does anyone have any news on this issue?
Thank you very much.

Hi @Sunilkumar k ,
to add the original estimate go to project settings > screens (under the Issues section) and edit the screen scheme. Original estimate is part of "Time tracking".

@Sunilkumar k , what type of project? I have to assume CMP. I just did a quick test on a CMP software project successfully...

Remove the original estimate from the General tab first, then add it to the Simple tab.

Iam not able to see the original estimate in the list of general tab and iam also not able to add the original estimate but i can see original estimate total (hrs) which is different from the original estimate

Try using the new view instead.
There you should have it as a draggable field.

The new view is when you click at the bottom right corner where it says "Configure"
This should show you this view:
There you should be able to drag the field anywhere you want.

@__ Jimi WikmanI tried that there i am not able to drag the field from one tab to other tab.
and even in the custom fields original estimate is not visible.

Just drag it down to the list below first, then shit tabs and move up.

Original Estimate is part of Time tracking. Can you try using that field? The Configure method aside, can you do this by editing the Screen scheme under project settings?

@__ Jimi Wikman i tried the same
but it is not allowing to drag the fields down to the new field that i have created it is allowing to drag into only the default tab but not into the tab which is created

I have not attempted "dragging". Can you move Time tracking to the new field tab by editing the screen scheme? The time tracking section will be fixed to a certain area of the screen but you can move it to a different tab as I illustrated above.

@Jack Brickey I can move the Time tracking to the new tab but i need to move the original estimate which is not visible in the list of fields

ok so...I am/was mistaken. The time OE falls under the right sidebar area and cannot be moved to the left area. The right sidebar will remain the same across tabs. The unique fields on tabs will appear in the left area. While you can move time tracking the OE remains fixed to the right sidebar.

Go into an issue and in the bottom right corner you should see "Configure". Click that and it will take you to the new issue view editor. There you can just drag the original estimate field anywhere you want.

Have you created the new tab already?
If not, then I added a guide here for that:

Hey @__ Jimi Wikman
Go into an issue and in the bottom right corner you should see "Configure". Click that and it will take you to the new issue view editor. There you can just drag the original estimate field anywhere you want.
You can't do that with Original Estimation field.
Could you please show an example where Original Estimation is on the new Tab?
Here 👇
Thanks in advance!
With kind regards
Slava
