Hello! I'm trying to get my team accustomed to using Epics, but for some reason I can't remove completed/done epics from the list of Epics when Adding an epic to an issue type.
How do you remove or hide Done epics from this list and in the Kanban view? I don't mind them being there for a little bit after but I want them to go away after so we don't have an endless list. The goal would be to only see things that we have not yet completed.
thanks!
Hi Brandon,
I recently received a similar request from one of the users I work with. Ultimately, you need to set the Epic Status to Done. To do this, add the Epic Status field to the issue screen. Once added, go into the epic that you want to mark as done, and change the epic status to done. This is different than the general issue status.
While this is late, I hope this helps!

Hello @Brandon Thomas
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Indeed, the new issue view displays all the completed Epics when clicking to select one for a standard-issue type in both Classic and Next-gen projects.
We have a feature request to allow the hiding of completed Epics in both views:
Done/completed epics appears in "Epic Link" field in the new issue view
