How do I sync the components field to Jira Align?

The Jira 'components' field does not appear in our Jira Align environment. Does anyone know how I would get that field to show up in (and sync with) Jira Align?

Hi Greg,

Components is not a supported field within the Jira connector in Jira Align.

A potential workaround could be to create tags or edit description on the Jira issues when a component is added to them. This way we can use another field that can be synced to JA to sync component info. You could use Jira Automation for this.

Another way could be to create a custom script utilizing Jira and Jira Align API to sync this field in a more flexible way. But this is a more complex option as your org will be solely responsible for creating, maintaining, and running such a script.
