How do these integration apps compare in terms of functionality/capability ... "Microsoft Teams for Jira" VERSUS "Advanced Microsoft Teams Jira Connector"?
Specifically, what additional functionality, capability, features and/or efficiency is provided by the "advanced" connector?
Looking forward to your feedback and advice!
Hello,
Welcome to the Atlassian community and thank you for asking.
"Microsoft Teams for Jira" is a basic free app that allows you to get notifications without filters.
Whereas Advanced Microsoft Teams Jira Connector has notifications that can be configured on the global, project and personal levels with multiple filters. Filters include multiple events, issue types, priorities, user groups, labels, customer fields. You also can configure which fields you want to receive.
The main goal of Advanced Microsoft Teams Jira Connector is to help you receive fewer notifications, but only things you care about. The configurations are done in Jira in a convenient user interface. Here are 2 useful pages.
It also has a companion Microsoft Teams App that allows you to search issues, act on them, created and edits issues and a few more things directly from Microsoft Teams.
Currently, the Server and Data Center version supports scheduled reports and alerts (they are coming to the Cloud soon).
On top of this, Move Work Forward is an active Gold (nearly Platinum) Atlassian Partner that is willing to improve the App rapidly. Feel free to schedule a chat or review the roadmap.
Please do not hesitate to ask more questions.

Hello @[deleted]
I hope you had a great week so far. I think Leo provided you with a great answer.
If you need an even deeper integration between MS365 and Jira, then you can also take a look at the app Microsoft 365 for Jira.
Additionally to Microsoft Teams, you can connect Jira to Outlook emails, meetings and To Do.
Here is a short demo video: Demo: Microsoft 365 for Jira – IT project management use case - YouTube
Feel free to book an individual demo as well: book a demo.
All the best,
Britta
