How to do the workload scheme if I have 1 resource on multiple projects with different bandwidth

Anupam Sinha March 17, 2023

I have a scenario where in I have 1 resource who is 10% allocated on Project 1 and 90% on Project 2. How should I update the Tempo workload scheme for this resource for planning?

Hello Anupam,

Thank you for posting your Timesheets by Tempo question on the Atlassian Community.

We do not feature resources to be in multiple workload schemes; however, since your use case is valuable to us, we encourage you to place a feature request in our idea portal for our Product team to consider adding this in the future.

Best Regards,

Steven

As a kind of workaround, you (as his administrator) and/or the user himself can create a report grouping by project.

If you later have more than one user split between multiple projects, you can group first by user and second by project.

You will not be able to get visual feedback on whether or not you are over- or under-booked in those projects.
But at least you will be able to verify that on a day-to-day basis as well on the average on the reported time frame (e.g. the current week or month).

Hi @Anupam Sinha

Are you considering using additional plugins?

@Anupam Sinha

You can take a look at ActivityTimeline plugin - it's a resource planning tool. There is a possibility to track users' tasks from different projects and track user workflow.
