We have 8 people on our Jira team. Everyone has some automation rules for their own purposes. But, all these personal rules are applied to the whole project and, sometimes, conflict with each other.

Is there any possibility to make visible to everyone the list of all automation rules that are used on the project?

Hi Olha,

first of all you need to make sure everyone has the administrator role in the project. If this is the case everyone should be able to see all automation rules.

As system administrator you can also access the global administration for all automation rules under <your-url>/plugins/servlet/ac/com.codebarrel.addons.automation/cb-jira-automation-rules

Kind regards

The standard automation interface allows any user with access to automation to see all rules in the system. The left hand sidebar of the the main automation rule list can be used to see rules applied to the current project or globally.

Project specific rules should only act on changes within that project and, in most cases, conflicts should not arise across project rules.

This personal rules use-case is super interesting to the Automation team as it's something on our list of items to improve on in the next 12 months. If you have a specific example of the problems you're seeing I would be very keen to learn more about it.

I want to give my project's Members access to see the rules or receive an explanation pop-up to understand why they cannot transition an issue. I don't want to give my users the administrator role since it might allow them to subvert the rules. Is this not supported?
