Hey,
We are doing Scrumban, and need both MIN and MAX column limits on our board. I found the constraint for MAX, do you have the ability to allow a MIN trigger?
Thanks in advance.
Update: This was for the Next-Gen Project
Hi Nikita,
There is no "min constraint" for boards. This would have to be implemented through an extension(plugin) - never heard or saw anything similar though.
Can you describe the use case? Perhaps it could be done in a different way - must say I find "min issue constraint" for columns quite odd and difficult to imagine the reasons for it.
Thanks,
Radek
In Scrumban, to trigger a planning or tast refinement session, min triggers on columns are used to tell the team that it's time to start the session. So having a min line will let people know we're running to our required time to start a planning session. Hope this makes sense

Uff I just tried on Cloud and I found "min" and "max" constraints actually (in board -> columns) - maybe I'm talking about something else and just confused?
Do you mean actual Scrum/Kanban boards?
Feels like I made a booboo by saying "there's no min" too quickly.

Aaah right it's a next-gen project. Now I see the confusion.
My apologies!

We ended up going back to the Classic board for this change.. thanks Radek for your answer, I'm hoping JIRA will implement this option for MIN limits moving forward!

Hi @nikita ,
We have created an add on that allows defining Min/Max WIP limits for Next-gen projects as well.
In addition, WIP per swimlane and the intersection of swimlane and column (basically for each cell on the board) can be defined.
Development of multicolumn WIP is in progress now.
Thanks,
Yuri
