I am not able to update filter in Jira server using api

Are you allowed to edit the filter from within the application itself?

I see from you URL that you _may be_ on server/data center rather than cloud. Could you check and confirm this again.

If you are on server/data center could you replace the 3 in the url with 2 i.e.

  • <your-url>/rest/api/3/filter/<filter-id> with
  • <your-url>/rest/api/2/filter/<filter-id>

More importantly, can you check you have the permission to edit the filter in question from the JIRA UI?

If you cannot then there lies the problem itself.

Also, look at the body to ensure you are parsing the correct values as expected from the link above (I will suggest sticking with Raw values).
