I cannot backup and restore my automations

is this a bug or is it intended to be used like that?

I tried to restore a jira backup, and I lost all my automations.

I also backed up a jira cloud with automation and on restore the automations were lost.

I got an answer from Atlassian Support that helps my problems.

Not perfect though, because I expect backups to contain everything (given the fact that there is no configuration for users).

Same with custom field IDs. They aren't going to match up.

Unfortunately the API's don;t exist as of yet for creating Automations, that is a gap that you have identified, please reference - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-51
