Hello,
Recently "issue hierarchy" and "issue dependency" started showing up on my issue cards. Is this an update to the Jira software?
A teamate asked about removing these extra description on the issue cards. He tried configuring the default issue screen for his board but those 2 fields weren't there.
Hi Paige, I'm thinking this is an addon/app but can't pinpoint which one. Can you look under your Apps tab and see if you can zero in on this. If it is an app I suspect it can be enable globally or by project. I would check the documentation and/or chat w/ your Jira admin unless that is you. ;-)
it probably has remnants that remain after the install. I would send an email to the vendor. It might clear after some period of time. Do you see this on newly created issues?

Thank you both for your fast and helpful responses.
I found the app that was causing the extra descriptions to show up. I uninstalled the app, and unsubscribed for it. (We were in the free trial of it).
However I am still seeing the " "issue hierarchy" and "issue dependency". Could there be additional steps I need to take to get rid of these extra description fields?

i recommend you keep replies w/in one of the answer threads rather than using the "Answer" button.

I think the App that add those extra fields is "JIRA Toolkit Plugin" and despite it is classified as "User-installed apps" there is no way to uninstall it. I am also being annoyed by those fields nobody asked for and the most I have been able to do about it is to hide the rest of the dropdown fields depending on them, but the fields remain there. If anybody knows how to get rid of these fields, please let me know.

Hi Paige,
Hope you are doing well.
These are not JIRA standard fields. It seems Administrator installed new plugins.
Check with your Administrator. Plugins like Structure, ScriptRunner (scripted fields ) etc. may add it.
Hope it will help you.
Thank you,
Datta Borude
