Import and Export Project for External Partner

Is there a way to export our (Internal data ) to an external partner and upload it to their JIRA once it is set up, or is it simply a copy and paste exercise?

CVS export and import? Just you must be careful with fields mapping... I´d definitely try it on small amount of issues and testing instance of your partner.

Can you please share the navigation path where to find the export Import option?

well you provide filter results, e.g. all unresolved issues in particular project and then
