Insight - Asset Management & Discovery Agent

Hello, 

We are trying to use Jira Insight as an inventory for our devices. Is there any application that we can push on computers that collects data and pushes information about the device into Insight Cloud? Something like Discovery Tool or Agent which runs once a day on a computer and pushes data to Jira Insight?

Hi Kolya,

In our company, we have been using Insight Discovery in order to scan servers e laptops. Discovery can be used to scan these devices through the network, and there is also an agent that can be installed only in Windows devices. This agent is used to do the scanning locally.

This is really helpful, I will try it out.

The agent works only in Windows and there is no agent for OS? How did you integrate the agent if I may ask? Did you do any kind of integration through API?

I am sorry, I didn't get what OS means. But, the agent only works with Windows machines. Scanning other operating systems can be done by using Discovery through the Network.

Once you have the scan results from your machines, you need to create an import configuration on Insight (Jira). Here is a documentation related to this:
