Is it possible to link a section or excerpt from a confluence page to a Jira issue?

We have planning documents in confluence which are then broken into JIRA issues but these can be updated during development so i'm looking for a way to include excepts from a confluence page in a JIRA issue so that the requirements remain in sync.

Hi Brett, I don't know of a way to do that but I have a suggestion that may accomplish what you want in a slightly different way.

You can insert anchors into a Confluence page and then add a link in the JIRA issue to that page and specific anchor. That way when someone clicks the link it will take them directly to the relevant excerpt.

I'll warn you that I think getting the link syntax correct so this works is far more difficult than it should be. Maybe it's just me but when it works, it's nice.
