I have a Select List (single choice) custom field that acts an indicator for RAG Status. I would like to configure the choices to be different colors. Is there a way to do this in Jira Software Cloud?
Can you add emojis as a select list value on Jira Cloud? https://getemoji.com/
Something like...
UPDATE:

Hi Jack - It's unclear to me how you were able to get the color boxes below. Can you help to further clarify.

Hello. Except from these emoji, where can I find extra? I am mainly interested in coloured quads. The colours in existing ones are very limited.
thank you very much

Yes. I'm by no means an expert on Emojis but I find way more value in custom Emojis than the stock ones.
But it seems that support via Unicode is the big difference between custom and non-custom ones, and the ability for various computing systems requiring Unicode support.

Is there a way to add colored text as a field option? When you view form fields on issue view in Jira Service Management, the text is really tough to ready because it is greyed out and very dim - Is there a way to get around that?

Haven't tried myself but it should be something like:
"Your Field Name" ~ "🟩"
...or... if you added some text apart from the colour
"Your Field Name" ~ "option text"
