Does Jira Cloud structure support displaying aggregated columns in hours instead of weeks, days, hours, mins?   Is there a setting?

Hi Parrish,

At the moment there is no option to change duration format. We are working on adding Formulas to Structure Cloud, these will help with most format and aggregation problems.

Hi,

Is there any change in this with regard to Structure server?

Was this ever implemented?

Thanks,

Eldad

Hello Eldad,

On Structure for Server/Data Center Jira, the displayed duration format comes from Jira's Time Tracking section. So if you set the format as hours, for example, the values will also be shown in the hours' format in Structure. If you have Structure for Server/DC, you can check it yourself - edit the Time Tracking format at Administration | Issues | Time tracking and reindex Jira to apply the changes.

On Structure Cloud this functionality is not yet supported. It is planned for the future and if you would be interested, we can notify you when it happens.

Hello everyone,

We implemented support for Jira's duration formats in Structure Cloud - now duraton type values are displayed according to the selected format in the Time Tracking section. Please note - after the format change, it will take Structure 5 minutes of time and a page refresh to start showing the updated format.

I also search for a solution. We used a server edition of Jira before. Now at the cloud we found no solution and I do not buy a app for a other time format.

Hello Florian,

Currently, Structure Cloud only supports the 'pretty' duration format. We will introduce the support for other formats of Jira's Time tracking settings later. Once it happens, we will notify you in this post.

Please feel free to contact us directly at support.almworks.com if you need our assistance with anything else.

What tool do you use?

You can consider app from the Atlassian marketplace like Time in status for Jira Cloud. It lets you view time in each column data in any time format: hours: minutes, minutes, or decimal hours

Hope it helps
