Labels

Hi guys, good day!

I'm working on the labels organization on my Jira Work Management board and I tried to delete and edit some labels, but I couldn't do that it does not show me this option, is there any shortcut to do so?

Hi @Isabella Costa ,

Unfortunately, you cannot edit a label. The only option would be to create a new label, add it to the desired issues and remove the old label. As for deleting a label, again, unfortunately, the only means of doing this is to delete it from each and every issue that has that label. Once the label is no longer on any issue (verify this using JQL search.) then the label will no longer exist.

I do wish there was a label manager in Jira.

There are addon options e.g. label-manager-for-jira-cloud . You could always install a trial app to resolve your immediate issue and if you’d like the app, then consider keeping it.
