Hi there,
Hoping the community can help me find a solution for sharing project boards with external stakeholders - without issuing them all with Jira user accounts. Not only does this cost of this approach quickly mount up, even if using shared accounts for communities of stakeholders, but asking them to manage logins, share passwords, and the admin on our end, is too much.
There is a lot of discussion about making boards public or accessible to anonymous users, but no solution provided achieves the simple objective of making a sprint board visible (not editable) to a non-paid/non-logged in user.
Has any one got a recommendation for making a board or all boards visible to external stakeholders, without assigning users, either via Jira settings, extensions, or some other (simple) solution?
Many thanks, Phil.
As the external stakeholders will be much interested in the progress of project, what you can do is place the link of suitable gadgets that shows the progress of your project in your website.
Rather than having each issues' progress, its better to show the overall progress of how many issues are in which state.
And for your question, Atlassian company has made, to use any feature of their products a user account is must, without it cannot be achieved. Since boards include in main features of Jira Software I think it is not possible.
