Hello,
We are migrating from Asana to Jira. How do we migrate attachments that are present in the comments section of a task ?

Hi @Shankar Subramaniam ,
You can use the app from Atlassian Marketplace - getint.io.
After mapping the types and fields, you would be able to select the option to migrate/integrate attachments, and comments (+custom field and statuses). You can install the app both as SaaS and on-premise.
Here is the link to the app - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223932/getint-jira-asana-integration-sync?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
Reach me out at jacek@getint.io if you need more details.
best,

Hello @Shankar Subramaniam,
Thank you for reaching out.
As mentioned in this article, the best way to properly migrate your Asana data to Jira would be by exporting and importing it using the CSV format.
To properly import attachments, you must upload the attachments in a directory that your Jira application can access and specify the attachment URL using the Attachment column in the CSV.
If you want the attachments to be placed in your comments, add the same attachment URL to the comment section as in the example provided in the documentation below:
