Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Hi
I'd like to migrate from Jira Cloud and the only option is to Export the board in monday to excel. How do I convert the excel into a matching csv. Do you have any example or guide ?
Thanks
If you're still looking for a solution, we've launched an app in the Atlassian Marketplace.
Thanks to that app, you're able to migrate from the Monday.com to Jira with attachments, comments, custom fields, statuses, and so on. It was already tested on several projects, and works great.
The app is available here (If you need DC/On-Prem version, it's available directly from us for now): https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225780/monday-com-jira-integration-2-way-sync-migration?hosting=cloud, you can also read more about us here.
Or reach out to me directly jacek@getint.io :)

I've tested it and it did not work. The UI is very confusing for mapping the fields and I received errors that the statuses are not mapping. Do you have a detailed documentation ?

Hi Baris,
sorry to hear that, in fact I'm a little surprised. Did you map the statuses?
Here are the docs: https://docs.getint.io/getting-started-with-the-platform/integration-synchronization/jira-monday-integration
And here is the video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9Nt_YwzemQ
We can also jump on a call - I'd love to get more feedback from you :)

I see that the thread is still live, so posting an update: We've recently updated the UI, and now the app is much easier to use.
Plus, we became ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 certified, and the platform has more than 1,800+ installations including Capgemini, Deloitte, Lufthansa.
We helped plenty of customers integrating Monday and Jira, and migrating from Monday to Jira.
I'd be happy to show you the new version.
best,
Jacek

Hi Jacek,
Does Getint support moving the Item description from a Monday item's overview? Currently this field isn't accessible via the Monday API so I'd be interested if your solution could help us move this data between systems.
Thanks.

Hi :) We do support regular text fields, so the regular description which is a text field, yes, but we don't support Item description as of now.
We do rely on the API, so the support for a given field needs to be there so we can integrate it.

Hi @Baris Sehitoglu and welcome to the commynity!
First of all, there are some apps in the marketplace, which you can use to communicate both ways (Monday <--> Jira). Maybe that could do the trick for you, although I have to admit that I haven't try them.
Concerning the csv import, you can read more in the official documentation here.
Hope that helps!

Hi, good day!
Is it possible to migrate the automations existing on Monday.com to Jira Cloud too?

Hi @Isabella Costa ,
we would need to know the details - in short, it should be possible with the scripting feature.
Can you email the details to me at jacek@getint.io?
thanks,
Jacek

Heya @Baris Sehitoglu Michaela from Integromat here! Welcome to this lovely community :)
Just jumping in to say that you could also grab your monday items and push them over to Jira with Integromat. It's a no-code platform that lets you connect your Jira to pretty much any other online app and automate all kinds of tasks and processes.
The great thing here is that as soon as you connect your monday account (or any other app) to Integromat, it allows you to work with all your old data, not only the things that are added to monday after you've made the connection.
I'm gonna go ahead and also share the links to the integration pages of both Jira and monday so that you can check out the features of the integrations and see what the options are :)

@Baris Sehitoglu No need to play with files.
You can directly migrate data from Monday.com to Jira Software.
